This role is office based, but will involve travel across Watford, Hertford, Stevenage & Harlow.

What is this role about?
Youth Jobs Guarantee is a mandatory programme for 18-21 year olds who have been on Universal Credit for 18 months or more, providing a fully subsidised six month paid job of up to 25 hours per week at minimum wage.
A Careers Coach will use a variety of techniques including effective diagnosis, individual and group coaching, and maximising on any participant funding available to prepare them for employment, and access local education or training opportunities. A Careers Coach is also responsible for conducting outreach in the community, building relationships with referral partners (DWP/JCP), and attending local events (e.g. job fairs) to generate referrals. They will also engage with local employers, training providers, and other key partners to source suitable opportunities that align with the participants' goals.
