Role Purpose

Do you love working with children? Looking for flexible work that's rewarding, fun and makes a genuine difference?

We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic and caring Play Workers to join our friendly team on a bank basis, supporting our Holiday Club and occasional Wraparound Care sessions. Whether you're experienced in childcare, studying education, looking to gain experience working with children, or simply have a passion for helping young people thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

Every day is different! You'll help create exciting experiences for children aged 2.5 to 11 years, delivering a mixture of sports, games, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures and creative activities in a safe and welcoming environment. As part of our team, you'll play an important role in helping children build confidence, make friends, learn new skills and most importantly, have fun.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, creative and engaging with children while benefiting from flexible working opportunities.

What you will be doing

• Delivering fun, engaging and inclusive activities for children aged 2.5 to 11 years.
• Encouraging participation, creativity and confidence through play.
• Supporting children's safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour at all times.
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Helping to create a welcoming, nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Assisting with activity planning, set up and preparation of resources.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of Holiday Club and Wraparound sessions.

What will you bring

• GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English (or equivalent) required
• Enthusiastic, positive and passionate about working with children
• Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team
• A confident communicator who can build great relationships
• Organised and able to adapt to different activities and age groups
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
