Are you an enthusiastic and inspirational Science Teacher looking to join a supportive and ambitious school community?

KPI Education is working in partnership with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham to recruit a Teacher of Science for a permanent full-time position starting September 2026 or January 2027. This opportunity is suitable for both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs looking to develop within a collaborative and supportive Science department.

The Role

The successful candidate will teach Science across a range of age groups and abilities, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, scientific thinking and strong academic progress.

The school is seeking a motivated classroom practitioner who is committed to raising attainment and contributing positively to the wider life of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for all students

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and effective feedback

  • Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs

  • Encourage curiosity, practical investigation and scientific enquiry

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

  • Support students pastorally and academically throughout their school journey

  • Play an active role within the wider school community and enrichment programme

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing teacher training

  • Degree in Science or a related subject

  • Passion for Science education and student achievement

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students across a range of abilities

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working
