Broker Technician

• Annual Salary: Up to £60,000

Reed Insurance London are working with a well-respected Lloyd's insurance broker based in the City and Southend, currently seeking a Broker Backup Technician to enhance their successful team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a company that prides itself on delivering exceptional service within the insurance sector.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Produce and process open market slips and assist with binding authorities.
• Create slips/endorsements, cover notes, policy schedules, debit notes, and monthly lineslip declarations.
• Review and process premium and risk bordereaux.
• Produce LPANs and submit work packages.
• Maintain Earned to Incurred spreadsheets.
• Manage Atlas and Lineage systems.
• Daily use of A&S systems and issuing credit notes/EoCs as required.
• Assist with Coverholder applications and audits.
• Calculate and monitor profit commissions.
• Liaise with the claims team on claims issues and reports.
• Track all binder renewals, review performance, and send renewal notices and chasers.
• Chase premium payments and ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform general administration tasks.
• Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organised manner and present these to senior management as required.
• Handle Xchanging/Bureau queries and other ad hoc duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a broker backup role within a Lloyd's broker.
• Part ACII qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills and experience using Brokasure, A&S, Atlas, Lineage, DCOM, PPL, AIF, ECF, IMR, and other Lloyd's/London Market systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
