HGV Technician

We're looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in West Thurrock as it introduces a night shift to meet growing customer demand.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting stuck into diagnostics and repairs, takes pride in their workmanship and knows how important it is to keep vehicles moving.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using your technical knowledge and computer-based diagnostic equipment
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs to a high standard
• Identifying additional work needed and communicating your findings clearly to the workshop team.
• Completing jobs efficiently while maintaining safety, quality and accurate records.
• Helping the team deliver reliable vehicles back to customers with minimal downtime.

What we're looking for

• A Level 3 HGV Technician qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience working on heavy goods vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding skills and confidence with computer-based diagnostics.
• A thorough, practical approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Main dealer experience is preferred
