About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of an established British manufacturer within the music and audio equipment industry for a reliable and detail-focused Goods In Operator to join their warehouse team in Borehamwood.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous Goods In, warehouse, stores or stock control experience who enjoys working in a busy environment where accuracy and organisation are key.
You will be responsible for ensuring incoming products and components are received, checked, recorded and stored correctly, helping to maintain an efficient warehouse operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming deliveries.
- Unload and check goods safely and efficiently.
- Check quantities and product details against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Inspect incoming stock for damage, shortages or discrepancies.
- Accurately book received goods onto the relevant stock/inventory system.
- Label and store products and components in the correct locations.
- Maintain accurate Goods In and stock records.
- Report damaged, incorrect or missing stock to the relevant team.
- Handle electrical and technical products carefully to prevent damage.
- Work closely with the wider warehouse, purchasing and operations teams.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe Goods In area.
- Assist with stock movements and general warehouse duties when required.
- Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within Goods In, warehousing, stores or stock control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience checking deliveries against purchase orders and paperwork.
- Comfortable using computer-based stock or inventory systems.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, punctual and proactive approach to work.
- Confidence identifying and reporting stock discrepancies.
- Comfortable with manual handling and working within a warehouse environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with electrical, electronic or technical products/components.
- Experience using an ERP, WMS or stock management system.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, electronics, distribution or technical warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience or licence would be advantageous.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is organised, dependable and takes pride in getting things right first time.
You'll have a keen eye for detail and be confident taking responsibility for incoming goods, ensuring everything is accurately checked and recorded before moving through the warehouse.
