Junior Project Manager / Supervisor - Passive Fire Protection Heathrow Airport £42,000 - £48,000 + Benefits

The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Project Manager / Supervisor to join a growing passive fire protection team delivering projects at Heathrow Airport. This role is ideal for someone with experience in fire stopping, passive fire protection, construction, fit-out, or M&E who is looking to take the next step into project management.Working closely with senior project managers and site teams, you will support the successful delivery of fire-stopping projects, ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management and supervision of passive fire protection and fire-stopping works.
• Review fire strategy drawings, compartmentation plans, and technical specifications.
• Identify penetrations, service openings, and compartment breaches requiring remedial works.
• Assist in surveying projects and preparing quotations for fire-stopping works.
• Support the selection of appropriate fire-stopping products and systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure installation activities are completed in line with approved methods and quality requirements.
• Assist in maintaining Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance procedures.
• Collate photographic evidence and project QA records.
• Monitor product certification records and material traceability.
• Maintain fire-stopping registers and project documentation.
• Carry out site inspections, identify defects, and coordinate snagging and remedial works.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor site progress and report on project status to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, and passive fire protection standards.
• Support the preparation of handover documentation, including O&M manuals and certification packs.

Requirements

• Experience within passive fire protection, fire stopping, construction, fit-out, or M&E environments.
• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Site Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, Working Foreman, or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and compliance processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Heathrow Airport experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
