Management Accountant - 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE)

2 days a week in the office, Woodford Green £35,000 - £36,000 for four days a week (£43,750 - £45,000 full time equivalent)

Charity People have partnered with an £8million turnover charity based in Woodford Green, Essex to recruit a newly created part time, Management Accountant.

You will be joining a respected and growing charity where you can make a real impact through high-quality financial insight and support. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this newly created Management Accountant role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and business partnering within a collaborative and purpose-driven organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional who enjoys combining strong technical accounting skills with stakeholder engagement and is keen to contribute to the success of a values-led organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes across the organisation.
  • Analyse financial performance, investigate variances and provide meaningful insight.
  • Partner with budget holders to support informed decision-making and financial accountability.
  • Help strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and system efficiency.

Person Specification

  • Strong QBE accountants with management accounting experience.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial information clearly.
  • Experience supporting budgets, forecasts and month-end reporting processes.
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Organised and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
