Blue Note London is looking for an experienced Bar Supervisor to join our opening team and help deliver an exceptional beverage programme alongside world-class live music and outstanding hospitality.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, mentoring others and creating memorable guest experiences.

About the Role

As Bar Supervisor, you'll support the management team in overseeing the daily operation of the bar, ensuring drinks are prepared consistently, service runs efficiently and guests receive exceptional hospitality.

You'll lead by example behind the bar while supporting and developing the bartender team to maintain the highest operational and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the bar team during service, ensuring efficient and professional operations.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining a warm and engaging atmosphere.
  • Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wines, beers and spirits to the highest standard.
  • Support the training and development of Bartenders and Barbacks.
  • Monitor drink quality, consistency and presentation.
  • Oversee opening and closing bar procedures.
  • Assist with ordering, stock control and inventory management.
  • Monitor stock rotation and minimise wastage.
  • Ensure all bar equipment is maintained and operating correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout all bar areas.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
  • Work closely with Floor Managers and Kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with menu launches, promotional events and private functions.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new bar team members.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and POS procedures.
  • Promote a positive and supportive team culture.

Skills & Experience

You'll have:

  • Previous supervisory experience within a premium bar, restaurant or hospitality venue.
  • Excellent cocktail, wine and spirits knowledge.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £15.00 per hour + tronc
