Job Requirements/Description

Are you an organised administrator who enjoys coordinating academic processes and working with a wide range of stakeholders? Would you like a varied role combining programme management, assessments and online learning? Signature Recruitment is recruiting a Programme Management & Assessment Administrator for a busy and collaborative higher education team in London.

This is a six-month temporary opportunity paying £18.00 per hour plus holiday pay. The role offers hybrid working, with a regular mix of office and home working. There will be periods during the academic cycle when greater office presence is required to support key assessment activity.

We are looking for an experienced administrator with strong organisation, communication and prioritisation skills. You will be confident managing a varied workload, liaising with different stakeholders and working independently when needed. A typical day could include coordinating webinars or meetings, responding to queries from academics and colleagues, updating online learning materials, processing assessment information in Excel and helping to distribute work to markers. A proactive approach, good judgement and basic to intermediate Excel skills will help you succeed in this busy and collaborative team.

Programme Management & Assessment Administrator - Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate webinars, virtual workshops, meetings and other programme activities
  • Liaise with academics, departments and external stakeholders to keep activities on track
  • Download assessment scripts, distribute work to markers and support assessment processes
  • Process marks accurately using Excel and maintain relevant spreadsheets and records
  • Upload and update learning materials within virtual learning environments
  • Provide wider administrative support, including inbox management, documents and project actions

Programme Management & Assessment Administrator - Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate strong administration, organisation and workload prioritisation skills
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders
  • Use Excel confidently for accurate data entry and straightforward processing
  • Work independently, use initiative and contribute positively within a collaborative team

Higher education experience is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who can manage competing priorities, use sound judgement and take ownership of their work. Experience using learning management systems would be useful, but the ability to learn new systems and processes is equally important.

If you are looking for a varied temporary Programme Management & Assessment Administrator role within a London higher education environment, we would be pleased to hear from you. Apply today to be considered for this six-month opportunity.

While we aim to respond to every applicant, the volume of applications may result in delayed communication. If you do not receive a response within a week, your application may not have been successful on this occasion, but we will keep your details for potential future opportunities.

Please be aware that Signature Recruitment will never reach out to candidates through WhatsApp, nor will we request sensitive information like bank details, passport, or driving licence data during the application process. For a secure job search and reliable flexible work, we advise consulting Jobs Aware who ensure all workers and work-seekers in the UK have access to free help and advice, as well as provide an option to report a scam or exploitation.
