Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity in a welcoming Junior School in Barnet? As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help pupils access the curriculum, encourage positive behaviour and build their confidence and independence. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have excellent communication skills, a calm and nurturing approach, and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils. You should be proactive, adaptable and confident working as part of a busy school team. Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.

The Role

• Supporting pupils with SEN on a one-to-one and small-group basis
• Assisting pupils with their learning and classroom activities
• Helping to implement individual support plans
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals
• Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and social development

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school setting
• Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable
• Patient, caring and resilient
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed
