Location: Battersea, South West London
Salary: £28,500 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off 7:00am-7:00pm
Break: 1-hour unpaid lunch
Contract: Full-time, permanent

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and professional Day Concierge to join a high-quality residential development in Battersea.

As a key member of the on-site team, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional level of service to residents, guests and visitors throughout the day. You will act as the first point of contact at the concierge desk, while also supporting the security, safety and smooth day-to-day operation of the development.

This is a resident-facing role suited to someone who is confident, approachable and professional, with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist residents, guests and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
• Act as the main point of contact at the concierge desk and deal with day-to-day resident enquiries
• Manage incoming calls, emails and general enquiries, dealing with them appropriately or directing them to the relevant team
• Receive, log and safely manage deliveries and post
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems and carry out regular security checks
• Ensure only authorised residents, guests and contractors have access to the building
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents and alarms, escalating where necessary
• Liaise with emergency services when required
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, shift activity, maintenance issues and other relevant information
• Ensure communal and parking areas remain clean, safe and well presented, raising any issues with the appropriate team
• Work closely with contractors, cleaners, maintenance teams and the Property Manager
• Carry out routine Health & Safety checks and report any hazards or defects
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
• Provide support with general on-site duties as required
• Use building management and concierge systems effectively, including access control, CCTV and relevant property systems
• Use initiative and sound judgement when dealing with issues in the absence of direct supervision

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in concierge, residential property, luxury hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A professional, approachable and customer-focused manner
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to use initiative
• The ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, contractors and visitors
• A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and secure environment
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Confidence using computer systems and property management technology
